Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?

Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan’s life. Having missed her flight, she’s stuck at JFK airport and late to her father’s second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon-to-be stepmother Hadley’s never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport’s cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he’s British, and he’s sitting in her row.

A long night on the plane passes in the blink of an eye, and Hadley and Oliver lose track of each other in the airport chaos upon arrival. Can fate intervene to bring them together once more?

Quirks of timing play out in this romantic and cinematic novel about family connections, second chances, and first loves. Set over a twenty-four-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver’s story will make you believe that true love finds you when you’re least expecting it.

My Thought:

I borrowed this book from my friend about 2 weeks ago before I went to Jakarta. The next week, when I went back to Yogyakarta, I had some similar moments with this story. I almost missed my flight that Monday morning and I met, just met a man when the plane’s landed in Yogyakarta. Honestly I still think about him until now and never see him again after that 🙁

I didn’t realize about the story of the book because i didn’t read the synopsis while i take it. So, actually the main story is about Hadley’s family, and Oliver’s. Her Dad is going to married again with Charlotte. At the begining, Hadley hate him for leaving her and her mother. While in the plane Oliver told her that he’s going to wedding party, too. But he’s not. His father died. And when hadley coincidently knew, have a feeling about it from one of her fahter’s guest, she immediately went to Paddington serching for him. Even though she’s never been in London before.

After her short conversation with Oliver again and went back to her father, she realized that she shouldn’t be that mad, angry to her father. She started to be her Daddy’s daughter again and let him and herself to be happy for the wedding.

If you read it carefullly, it only told the story of just one day events. Hadley met Oliver for the first time in the airport, and they separated in London, and then they met again. But it also has some flashbacks of Hadley’s pasts. It’s a simple but very sweet and meaningful story. I like it, Jen 🙂
